Welcome! We are glad to have you here!

Kids are important to us!
The 10:00 am service is especially geared to the needs of families with children.

Sunday School begins at 9:45 am with Children’s Chapel for 3 year olds thru Grade 3.  Grades 4 through 6 go directly to their classrooms.

Nursery care begins at 10:00 am.  Both are downstairs in the undercroft.  Your child will be brought back to you before the offertory.  Christ came to us as a baby; when we care for the small, we care for him.

Youth Group
Our youth groups are open to young people from 7th grade through High School.  Youth Groups meet regularly on Sundays during the school year from 11:15 am until 12:15 pm.  Activities include Christian Education, service projects and fellowship activities.  Favorites include bowling, hiking, attending athletic events and over-nights.  Our youth groups are growing in numbers and in scope.

Call the church office for more information.

Girls Friendly Society (GFS)
The GFS  Branch at GASP welcomes all girls ages 5 – 18 to join our parish passed program which focuses on worship, out reach, study and recreation to help our members develop their talents and skills, empowering them with the faith, self esteem and confidence to cope in an ever changing complex world. Branch meetings are held on various Wednesday evenings from
6:30 PM – 7:45 PM from September through June. There are also special Branch and Diocesan events.

Visit “GFS” under the “events” section for more information and a complete 2008-2009 schedule.

Whether you are a casual visitor or interested in joining this church, your presence among us is a blessing.

Sunday services are at 8:00 and 10:00 AM. These services are called “Holy Eucharist” (from the Greek for “thanksgiving”).

The 8:00 am service, or “Rite I”, is quiet and meditative.  The 10:00 am service, “Rite II”, is lively and filled with music.

Refreshments follow the 10:00 am service, go out through the white doors at the front of the church and cross the hall.

Our quest for knowledge never ends.  Grace and St. Peter’s offers a wide variety of Adult Education classes, book discussion groups and Bible study with special offerings in Lent and Advent.

Many classes are led by parishioners and guests who are experts in their fields.  Check the church bulletin, the Newsletter, or the bulletin board for current offerings.  If there is a topic you would like to see addressed, please contact the church office or send an email to office@graceandstpeters.org.

We are stewards of God’s gifts to us including our time, our talents and our financial resources.  These gifts are given us for the strengthening of the community.

Some of the opportunities for ministry where you can offer your gifts are:

Vestry, Altar Guild, Acolyte, Lay Reader, Intercessor,
Usher, Chalicist, Lay Eucharistic Minister,
Welcoming Team, Building and Grounds,
Sunday School, Youth Group and Nursery volunteers,
Daily Office readers, Deanery and more.

Volunteers and participants are always welcome.

We worship according to the “Book of Common Prayer” or “BCP”, the book with a cross on it.

There are three hymnals, the blue “Hymnal”, the red “Lift Every Voice and Sing” (LEVAS) hymnal and the smaller green paperback “Praise and Worship”.  If you get lost, nudge the person next to you for help!

All who are baptized in any Christian denomination are welcome and urged to come forward during Holy Communion to receive the bread and wine.  If you do not wish to receive the bread and wine, please come forward anyway and cross your arms over your chest for a special blessing.
