Lenten Study Group
Meditation, in its myriad forms, is an ancient spiritual practice woven deeply into most, even all, of the
world’s principal religious traditions, including—as some may not know—our own Christian tradition. And, today, scientific research appears to confirm many of the benefits to health and well-being that those traditions ascribe to it.
On March 11 and 18, after the 10:00 am service (from 11:40 to 12:30) we will learn about, practice and discuss one of many possible approaches to meditation, looking in particular at those of the Christian, Buddhist and Hindu traditions. By the end of the five sessions, we will be equipped to take this important practice into our daily lives and may already begin to reap benefits of equanimity, calm and compassion.
